Group HR Manager

DMM are seeking an experienced HR Manager with outstanding people skills to manage their personnel and ensure that their human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.

This role would suit a proactive and driven HR Manager looking to play a key part in the senior management team of DMM.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, superior knowledge of labour regulations and HR best practice, strategic thinking capabilities, efficient organisational skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Duties for the HR manager will include:

  • Ownership of all HR policies, ensuring these stay up to date and are reflective of current employment legislation.
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.
  • Manage staff wellness and maintain staff records.
  • Handle employee benefits.
  • Assess training needs and then design and implement and evaluate training programs accordingly.
  • Manage all HR casework (absence, disciplinaries, grievances, probation etc).


  • CIPD Qualified level 7.


  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a senior HR manager, advisor, or HR business partner.
  • Worked in a busy HR environment across a multi-site operation with significant generalist experience.
  • Providing strategic and operational support within a large organisation.
  • Be up to date with current employment law and legislation.
  • Implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Experience of recruitment, learning and development.
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving.
  • Complex HR case management.
  • Coaching and supporting other managers in all HR related processes.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Conversant with HR systems.
