Climbing Technical Sales Representative – South & Midlands

DMM International has manufactured premium height safety equipment in north Wales for over 40 years. The equipment we manufacture is used by recreational climbers and professional access workers across the world. DMM strives to achieve the highest levels of quality, innovation, and service.
Position:
As DMM’s South & Midlands Technical Sales representative you will be responsible for maintaining and growing DMM’s presence in the climbing and work at height market in an area covering the southern half of the UK.
With a strong focus on sales, you will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to support business growth. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts, customer relationship management, and data-informed decision-making.
The role will involve meeting clients and partners at their premises, attending product demonstrations, conferences and events. The role will primarily be based in the UK but will also require some international travel to support the brand both at events and with customers. The role will require some evening or weekend work to support product events and product demonstrations.
As part of the technical sales team, you will help shape our product range and provide input into the development of new products and systems.
The role will involve working closely with the sales and marketing teams to help influence how we market, sell, and deliver our products worldwide.
The role will report directly to the DMM International Sales Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
Review and optimize current business opportunities in the tree care market both in the UK and internationally. Identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement targeted strategies that enable measurable growth in the climbing and work at height sector.
Actively engage with new and existing accounts to identify opportunities, answer questions, and support buying decisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Product range analysis and recommendations; identify opportunities in the product ranges and recommend changes to increase market share and grow revenue.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to drive business development initiatives and ensure seamless execution of joint projects.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
Stay updated with industry developments and market trends to identify new growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Represent DMM at trade shows, training events, product demos, and retail visits.
Location
The role can be based remotely from the group’s headquarters in north Wales but will involve regular travel both within the UK and abroad to build and maintain the brand’s market position. It will also require monthly in-person meetings at the north Wales HQ.
Required Skills:
A good technical understanding of climbing and height safety equipment. Three+ years of working in a technical climbing environment would be ideal.
Effective communication skills, with confidence in phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Client-driven and sales aware, with a proven ability to convert conversations into successful sales.
Proven ability to work well with internal teams while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
The role will require a full UK Driving License.

Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Marketing Associate to support the Group Brand Manager.
The Marketing Associate will be instrumental in supporting the execution of marketing strategies, driving brand engagement, and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
The role will also require a strong focus on administrative support and team collaboration. Ideally we are looking for a person who can help manage the marketing department on a day to day basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Support: Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
- Campaign Management: Overseeing the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring objectives are met.
- Brand Engagement: Helping to build and maintain brand awareness and engagement across different platforms. Developing and maintaining brand consistency across all marketing materials.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and other stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Utilizing data to inform marketing decisions and campaign optimization. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to assist in campaign development.
- Project Management: Managing various marketing projects, from planning to execution and reporting.
- Content Creation: Potentially contributing to the creation of marketing content, including social media posts, website copy, or email campaigns.
- Assist with the planning, organisation and execution of photoshoots and other content creation.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of product information sheets and marketing brochures, including customised brochures tailored to client needs as directed by the sales team.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Level certification in Professional Digital Marketing
- 1 years’ experience in a managerial role in a marketing department.
- 3 years’ experience working in a marketing role using the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite.
- 1 years’ experience of web development in a professional position.
- 1 years’ experience of SEO in a professional position.
- 1 years’ experience of Social Media Marketing in a professional position.
- Digital Fluency: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and extract insights to improve marketing efforts.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Marketing Knowledge: Solid understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
