DMM will be taking ownership of the Stal Climbing brand. Looking ahead, Stal premium climbing wall anchors will be manufactured by DMM in Llanberis under its ISO 9001:2015 quality system and integrated into the DMM product range.
Stal was founded in Sheffield by Nate McMullan (Climbing Wall Services) and Martin Roberts (Titan Climbing). All parties will be working together to ensure a seamless transition.

Stal Anchors are rated to 60 kN and provide genuine redundancy. The polyurethane pucks place the anchor out from the wall to reduce wear on the connector and wall. Durable and cost-effective the Stal modular design allows easy replacement of wear components.
A central ‘equalising link’ between the chains reduces any movement, minimising metalwork wear that is traditionally encountered from anchors that move when used.
The chain links that make up the Stal anchor systems are induction welded. This means they have not been made brittle from the welding or bending process. Each section of chain is plated, independently certified to BS EN standards for climbing structures, proof tested to 20 kN before sale and polished for additional corrosion resistance.
Currently, there are three configurations available: the Lead Climbing Anchor with Alpha Steel carabiners, Bottom Rope Anchor with maillons and a stainless steel (316) version of the Bottom Rope Anchor.
