Rock and roll legend.

The Revolver is a ground breaking concept that has gained legendary status for industrial and recreational use. Take the advantages of lightweight aluminium connectors and morph them with a roller wheel from a pulley and you've got an incredibly versatile piece of equipment: counterweight rescues, clipping tight lines, hauling chainsaws, deviating running ropes, etc. the list goes on.

For rock climbing, the Revolver's integrated pulley wheel allows ropes to run more efficiently through the carabiner. Used at changes of direction on a route, it helps reduce rope drag.

The Revolver is also highly useful for creating lightweight hauling systems. If you need to haul kit, a partner, or perform crevasse rescue, the pulley wheel increases the efficiency and converting more of your energy into movement.

A locking gate gives the Revolver extra security.

FEATURES

Keylock nose eliminates snagging

This carabiner's nose slots into a groove in the gate, allowing it to achieve full strength without a gate notch. This creates a clean internal profile that won't catch on gear, bolts or slings, giving easier clipping and removal from systems.

I-Beam construction for optimum strength to weight ratio

I-Beam construction techniques allow carabiners to be lighter without compromising strength. This is achieved through hot forging, a process which allows metal to be made into complex shapes that improve functionality.

Integrated pulley wheel for reducing friction

The Revolver's pulley wheel reduces friction and increases efficiency of ropes running over it, this reduces rope drag on complex pitches. The Revolver can also be used to create mechanical advantage in a lightweight personal hauling system, making it indispensable as part of a climber's personal rescue kit. The pulley wheel is functional with loads up to 11kN.

Locking gate types

Screwgate

Manual locking gate requiring screwing/unscrewing of the barrel to lock/unlock.

Kwiklock

Auto-locking gate requiring two distinct actions to open.

Locksafe

Auto-locking gate requiring three distinct actions to open.

Durolock

Auto-locking gate requiring four distinct operations to open. Force must be maintained throughout or the gate returns to safe (locked).

Kwiklock ANSI

Same gate action as Kwiklock but the connector is also required to exceed 16kN in minor axis, side load and gate face tests.

Locksafe ANSI

Same gate action as Locksafe but the connector is also required to exceed 16kN in minor axis, side load and gate face tests.

daily work use

I've been using the screw gate revolver almost daily within my job as a rope access technician, it makes perfect sense pairing this carabiner with a hand ascender as it immediately gives you the option to convert your ascending system to a 2.1 ratio with a very smooth running micro pulley.

Super convenient roller carabiner

I've been using my Revolver screwgate mainly for use with my Grivel ascender. It makes the rope work super smooth and easy to pull through when ascending ropes. As with all DMM kit, it's beautifully made, lightweight and heroically strong. Highly recommended!

Versatile

Lots of uses for this thing as described in other reviews. Also useful to reduce rope rub if you're getting a bit ziggy or have a traverse pitch and can't be bothered (or can't) set up another belay.

Great Accessory

I carry one of these in my Swiftwater Rescue kit as it allows me to save space in my buoyancy aid pocket by not having to carry separate pulleys to go with the HMS's I already carry

Accessorie biner

I use the screwgate version to carry an auto autobloc, purssic loops, tat and a knife on. Seams an obvious choice when on glaciers.
