Pivot

I use this device a lot and it does the job. But honestly, I’m tired of orange and black climbing equipment. Where’s the bright pink? Even just plain silver is better than these. Bring back the pink!!

Love my pivot, it's the perfect device for trad as it's lightweight and compact. Grips a variety of rope sizes really nicely, works like a dream both in lead belaying, guide mode and top roping. My only gripe with it is it could be more durable, i've gone through 3 very quickly. If a stainless steel/ more durable but slightly heavier one was produced, i'd definitely buy it for more use indoors and abseiling. But given how nice it is to use, when this one runs it's course i'll probably buy another regardless.

I have other belay plates but find myself using my DMM pivot in almost every instance, it handles all ropes (within the designed range) excellently and allows for really smooth lead belaying. Solidly built and so far has stood up to plenty of abuse.

I love the Pivot belay plate. It's light weight and adaptable to many situations. Mine often gets used for ascending ropes when photographing climbers and gets used in every other aspect of rope work for my climbing. It's my go to belay plate and never leaves my harness.

I've used the pivot for ages, to the point where I've bought a second one to use with clients. Innovative product which took the next step in belay devices.
