Torque Nuts can be used to protect parallel sided cracks. Their shape means they can be used in multiple orientations, giving you a wide range of placement options with every piece. Lightweight aluminium alloy construction means that despite their low weight, each Torque Nut has a 14kN strength rating.

An extendable sling lets you reduce rope drag without extra quickdraws, and can be replaced with DMM's in-house re-slinging service. Torque Nuts work in all conditions. They are especially useful in winter, when icy cracks cannot be protected with cams. However, Wired Torque Nuts are more resistant to accidental axe strikes and easier to control placing above your head.

Colour coded for easy size identification

The DMM protection range is colour coded for quick and easy size selection. Colours are co-ordinated across all active protection, for quick selection of alternatives if your first choice doesn't fit.

Extendable sling reduces rope drag and rack weight

Extendable slings allow speedy placement extension without additional quickdraws. Extending placements reduces rope drag when routes change direction, move round corners or over roofs. Simply rack each cam on its own carabiner for a self-contained system that is quick and easy to extend. Carrying less quickdraws minimises rack weight on your harness.

Shape allows placements in multiple orientations

Torque Nuts can be placed in multiple orientations, allowing each piece to fit several sizes and shapes of crack.

Passive protection works in wet and icy conditions

Passive protection works by jamming in constrictions to prevent falls. It is suitable for use in all conditions. Unlike active protection such as cams, passive protection can be used in wet or icy cracks, where friction is reduced.

Beasts that make everything less scary

Get one of these in and you've no worries about anything. So easy to place, easy to remove. Not sure i'm sold on the sling extension, but means you can use them without a quickdraw and they sit and feel nice.

The flexible sling makes it really easy to torque these. I thought it would fray quickly but they seem to be lasting well.

Life savers

The green hex has taken the biggest whip of my life and still goes with me up most routes. Even if it cannot be placed during the climb its more often than not utilised in an anchor set up. The set of four are so light and cover so many different size placements. Every time one goes in a route it gives so much confidence and as i say i think everyone of mine have been fallen on several times over the year and have formed a large part of countless anchor set ups.

DMM have created created a great set of hexs with these Torque Nuts. The extendable sling is great and the camming action on them is fantastic.
